Yara Barrak practices in the area of commercial law, corporate taxation and estate planning. She has experience working with both emerging and established businesses and their owner operators to provide tax oriented solutions to their business and legal needs.

Prior to joining GWBR, Yara practiced as a notary, with a particular focus on drafting wills and settling estates with the objective of reducing taxes on death and protecting estate assets from creditors. She also has experience drafting powers of attorney and advance medical directives that are tailored to the specific needs of each client.

Yara is a published author at the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) and a member of the Young Bar Association of Montreal. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in taxation at HEC.
