Simon’s practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions, sales of businesses, financing, corporate taxation, transactional taxation and venture capital. In his M & A portfolio of transactions, he acted on behalf of buyers such as venture capital funds and institutional funds, for both Canadian and non-resident investors, and for sellers such as shareholders and target companies, particularly in private transactions.

Simon has also represented significant security issuers in complex transactions, including private investments and global financing and acquisitions. Furthermore, he has represented various institutional investors, private equity funds and venture capital funds, particularly in day-to-day transactions, divestitures, investor relations and tax considerations.

He also takes pride in being a strategic partner to his small and medium size enterprise clients. He is recognized for his ability to identify and resolve business and legal issues before they arise in order to provide tangible added value. His ability to synthesize complex files, his efficiency of execution and his understanding of both the financial and tax components are of great benefit to his clients.

Simon has been a member of the Liaison Committee with Business Lawyers, Bar of Montreal since 2015.
