Leon Garfinkle practises in corporate and commercial law, drawing upon 13 years of private practice with one of Canada’s most prestigious law firms followed by 12 years as corporate General Counsel with experience in a variety of business segments (including computer services, payment processing and toy and entertainment products).
Leon’s over 30 years of practice has included both private and public acquisition and divestiture transactions, structuring shareholder arrangements and developing compensation arrangements and practices, in addition to a variety of day-to-day commercial matters, including invention, technology and trademark licensing arrangements, commercial premises leasing and employment matters.
Leon’s experience on both sides of the lawyer/client divide has provided him with a rather special perspective on the giving of legal advice.
