Austin del Rio practices law with a focus on tax and estate planning. In particular, he assists business owners and real estate investors to set up legal structures that are efficient from a tax perspective. This may include incorporating a company or registering a partnership, putting in place a personal or family trust, planning for asset protection, or reorganizing the business structure. He also works closely with individuals to set up their wills and succession plans to ensure that their businesses and investments are transferred to the next generation in the most tax-effective manner.
In addition, Austin applies his dynamic and creative approach to problem solving to assist individuals with the tax aspects of buying and selling a business, real estate transactions, and cross-border investments.
Finally, Austin is a member and published author at the Canadian Tax Foundation (CTF) as well as a member of the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF) and Young Bar Association of Montreal. He is currently completing a Master’s degree in taxation at HEC.
